Introduction

The Soil Science Society of Nigeria (SSSN) will hold her 47th Annual Conference with the theme: Tropical Soil and Water Resources Management: Climate Change Mitigations for Functional Ecosystem Services and Food Security.  The conference will assemble researchers, policy makers, farmers, agro-allied practitioners, NGO’s, Government MDA’s and other stakeholders to X-ray the contributions of soil to various ecosystem services and climate change mitigation.

  1. Nutrient management, integrated farming and food security
  2. Climate smart agriculture, biological interactions and food security
  3. Organic agriculture, soil and water resource management
  4. Land use systems, farm practices and soil management
  5. Land evaluation, GIS, Geostatistics and spatial statistics
  6. Tillage, irrigation and soil conservation practices
  7. Socio-economic impact of climate change on ecosystem services and food security

Abstract Submissions

  1. Abstracts are required for research in the fields of Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Studies, Geography, Climate Change, and related areas.
  2. Abstracts in Microsoft Word shall not exceed 300 words
  3. Each submitted abstract should have the full names of author(s) and their affiliations
  4. All submitted abstracts must indicate clearly the corresponding author’s email address
  5. Abstracts should be sent to the email address: sssnloc2023@unn.edu.ng
  6. Deadline for submission of abstract: 30th August, 2023

 

Deadline for Paper Submission:

Presenters are kindly requested to submit their full paper to the LOC email address not later than September 10th. Upon acceptance of paper for publication in the conference proceedings, presenters will be contacted to pay N 15,000.00 for the publication.

For those who will be presenting virtually, please ensure to submit a 5-minute video as a backup to the LOC on or before September10th, 2023.
