Are you a young researcher (MSc/PhD student)? And are you ready to explain your research to a broad audience in just 10 minutes? Then apply for our Young Soil Scientist Research Presentation Competition! On Tuesday 14th March 2020, from 3.30 pm – 4.30 pm, we offer 5 young researchers the opportunity to present their work to conference participants and other interested people.
Your presentation will be assessed by a jury and the winner awaits a nice prize. Do not miss this opportunity!
- Registered as participant of the SSSN-COAL CITY 2020 by November 30th, 2019
- MSc student or PhD candidate at the time of registration
- Motivated to present your research to a broad audience in ten minutes
- Able and willing to be present in SSSN-COAL CITY 2020 in the late afternoon/evening (exact time to be announced) of Tuesday 14th March, 2019
- Priority will be given to those PhD and MSc students that have not been assigned an oral presentation during a plenary or parallel session
What do we offer?
- The opportunity to present your research in 10 minutes on Tuesday March14th, 2019
- Feedback from the jury on your presentation.
- A refund of the conference fee for the 5 participants selected, generously sponsored.
- A briefing session for selected candidates on the day of presentation
- A prize for the winner
Procedure
- When registering, indicate on the form that you are interested in participating in the young scientist research presentation competition.
- Note that registration for the competition is only possible during Early Bird registration for the conference, i.e. before January 30th 2020.
- You will receive further information on how to submit your application from us
- We will select 5 candidates from the submitted applications. These candidates are offered a training session and will present their research on Tuesday March 14th
